Description

As part of the revitalization plan of Vail Village, L.P.R. Construction Co. erected the Arrabelle project. Arrabelle is a four building condominium complex in the heart of Vail Village. Working through one of the worst winters in Colorado, the steel team required many small sequences to accommodate the overwhelmingly tight site conditions. The buildings were erected with two tower cranes and two crews working simultaneously.

The complex roof structure required ingenuity and planning allowing L.P.R. to erect the “Spire” as one piece with the structural steel and light gauge framing installed on the ground. Erecting the “Spire” utilized both tower cranes as a tandem pick.
